Hey friend, let’s dive into something really special—my Word of the Year. Have you ever picked a word to guide you through the year? Maybe you’ve heard of it before, or maybe this is brand new to you. Either way, I want to take you on a little journey of how I choose my word each year and how it shapes my life and business.

How My Word of the Year Journey Started

It all began in 2017 when I stumbled across a book called One Word That Will Change Your Life. I honestly can’t remember how I found it, but it introduced me to the idea of choosing a single word to serve as a guiding principle for the year.

I loved the concept, but as a person of faith, I wanted to take it a step further—I prayed about it. So every December, I set aside time to ask God for a word to define my upcoming year. It’s become a beautiful tradition, and I’ve seen how each word has shaped my journey in incredible ways.

At first, I wasn’t intentional about keeping track of my words, but in 2022, that changed. I started writing them down on a whiteboard in my “cloffice” (closet office—yes, that’s a thing!). And looking back, I can see the pattern of growth God has been leading me through.

Here’s a quick recap:

• 2022: My word was Courageous. This was the year I launched my podcast. I had to push past fears, doubts, and negative self-talk to step into this calling.
• 2023: My word was Transformation. And wow, did I see transformation—in my mindset, my body, my business, and my spirit.
• 2024: My word is Create. This year, it’s all about taking action on the ideas and dreams God has placed in my heart.

Why Create?

When I prayed about my word for 2024, God made something very clear: You have written down enough. It’s time to start creating all that you have written.

Can I just pause and say, wow?

That hit me hard because I realized how much I’ve been planning, brainstorming, and dreaming—but now, it’s time to bring those ideas to life! And friend, I believe this word isn’t just for me. It’s for YOU, too. You’ve been sitting on that business idea, that passion project, that thing God has placed in your heart. This is your year to create it!
